Description: SUMMARY Responsible for overseeing all aspects of fitness operations and ensuring programs and activities are profitable and productive.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Because of the fluctuating demands of the Resort's operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other associates are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or directed. 2. Adhere to all of the various written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make up the essential functions of the job. 3. Perform in a manner that demonstrates the philosophies of "The Four Keys". 4. Conduct and ensure performance appraisals for all staff are completed. 5. Organize and oversee all fitness programming and personal training 6. Collect and monitor all fitness staff payroll commissions, and perform time edits. 7. Producing and recording all fitness purchase orders. 8. Ensure fitness programs are increasingly profitable for business. 9. Ensure all fitness associates have required certifications and are individually productive. 10. Ensure all training documentation is properly credited and recorded. 11. Resolve any member or guest opportunities or disputes. 12. Participate in any intern programming for both high school and college students. 13. Ensure that all fitness equipment is maintained and in safe working condition. 14. Assist in creating yearly staffing guidelines and budget.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises fitness class coordinator, fitness specialists, and fitness desk attendants.
Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Prefer a Bachelor degree from a four year college or university in a physical fitness/wellness related field. Prefer three years managerial level experience in a Spa/Fitness facility.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS ACSM Health fitness instructor preferred, Cooper personal trainer, ACE, NASM, or NSCA, CPR and First Aid.
